Moulding Materials

At Barnes we offer many different mould materials, so you can make your own moulds. From over 20 different silicone systems, to Latex in Liquid & Brush formulas, Polyurethane rubbers, Alginate for life-casting, along with several plaster and gypsum products and fibreglass supplies.

Understanding the relationship moulding materials have against other materials is crucial. You will need to ask yourself will the mould material work against your master object you wish to take the mould from, and is it compatible with the casting material you intend to use? Do any of these parts require sealing and/or release agents prior to making the mould? There may be multiple options for the project you have in mind, or it may require a very specific recommendation in order to produce the best outcome.
