Transil 5A Fast Set Moulding System
The Transil 5A Fast Set Silicone is the newest member of the Transil range. This two-component, addition (platinum) curing, low viscosity silicone is designed for taking very fast impressions. Compared to the standard Transil, this silicone rubber is much softer once cured. The pot-life is the same at around 8-10 minutes. It is ideally suited for fast set moulds where a free-flowing product is required, especially when time factors are an issue. Moreover, Transil 5A – Fast Set Silicone is also considered the best choice for the casting of flexible silicone parts where true colour matching is essential. It can be used with the Barnes range of silicone pigments. When combined with Sil-Thix, it can be applied as a brush-on system. Transil 5A is perfect for creating custom silicone moulds. The low viscosity and high elasticity is great for making candle moulds, vase moulds, or projects where the mould may need to be stretched during its de-mould.
