Sculpt Nouveau’s Metal Wax is a specifically developed wax that allows that user to easily seal in a surface while offering an easy to touch-up or maintain protective coating. The metal wax is a great option for working on all metals both as the primary sealer or over the top as a secondary protective coat. The Metal Wax works great over Clear Guard and Ever Clear. The finest quality waxes have been blended into a nonabrasive formula specifically to protect patinas and metal finishes. These waxes contain UV inhibitors and hardeners making them incredibly durable and long lasting on all types of metal.
Use in a well ventilated area. Always wear goggles or a face shield, vapor respirator, protective clothing and gloves when handling product. Follow directions on the product guides listed under the Technical Documents.
Important Note: Unseen moisture may be in the metal surface that will interfere with the clear coat. Especially on humid days or earlier in the day, moisture will be undetectable to the bare eye. Trapped moisture will manifest itself as a cloudy coating and/or as a possible bonding problem. Oxidation, such as rust, can also develop over time. To prevent this, warm or heat the metal with a torch or heat gun prior to clear coating. If this is done, you should notice a shadow of water dissipate across the surface. Allow the metal to cool to room temperature for a few minutes, then proceed to apply the metal wax.
