What is Pinkysil used for?
Making flexible rubber moulds for casting resin, wax, plaster, chocolate, and more. Also used for lifecasting and prop duplication. Widely used by NZ jewellers, artists, hobbyists, and prop makers.

How fast does Pinkysil set?
Working time is approximately 3–4 minutes. Demould in 20 minutes. Full properties in a few hours.

Is Pinkysil safe for skin and body casting?
Yes — platinum silicone, skin-safe when fully cured. Used widely for body and lifecasting. Always patch-test first and refer to the SDS.

Do I need scales to mix it?
No — Pinkysil and Transil are both 1:1 by volume. Equal measuring cups are all you need.

What’s the difference between Pinkysil and Transil?
Both are platinum-cure silicone rubbers with similar properties. Pinkysil is pink and opaque. Transil is translucent — use it when you need to see through the mould during filling or inspection.

How many casts will I get from a mould?
Hundreds — platinum silicone moulds are durable and flexible. They outlast tin-cure and urethane moulds significantly.

What can I cast into a Pinkysil or Transil mould?
Epoxy resin (Epoxycast), polyurethane resin (Supercast, Easycast, BQueen), wax, chocolate, plaster, concrete. Check material compatibility if unsure.
